Andy Shatley is running to become the next Mayor of Jonesboro. Born in West Memphis, AR, raised in Jonesboro, Shatley has been a part of the Northeast Arkansas community for many years.
After graduating from high school, Shatley continued his education at Arkansas State University — Jonesboro where he attained a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. He currently holds the title of Director of Sports Medicine at St. Bernard’s Hospital, where he has held this position for over ten years.
He has been married to his wife, Misty, for over twenty years and together they have two daughters, Ava (15) and Skye (11). The Shatley family are active members of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro.
Shatley has served the city of Jonesboro and his community over the years, advocating for community involvement and city-wide growth through sports, theater, arts and volunteer work. He has served on the following boards and committees: Chamber of Commerce, Auditorium Commissioner, Delta Symphony Orchestra, City of Jonesboro Bicycle/Pedestrian Master Plan Steering Committee.
Over the years, Shatley has taken great strides to improve the health, quality of life and continue the growth of opportunity, not just for the citizens of the Jonesboro community, but also for the visitors. As Mayor of Jonesboro, Shatley will continue these strides to strengthen the community through trust, transparency and teamwork!
